Year 7’s take a trip to Low Mill

21st October 2020

At The Wensleydale School, we want to make sure all our students get the best opportunities both in school and out of school. Recently, some of our students travelled to Low Mill to spend a few days participating in a range of activities. Our PGCE Student, Jakob, shared his thoughts on the event.

The Year 7 days at Low Mill are a fantastic opportunity for students to try new activities, learn about the local environment and get to know each other a bit better. On the latest visit, the students enjoyed their time and they worked really hard in teams to take on the challenges faced in different activities from caving and canoeing to abseiling and gorge scrambling.

At the end of the day everyone left with a smile on their face including the instructors who commented that   “it was a pleasure to work with such nice, intelligent and active students”. We can’t wait for more students to return soon.
