Social media is now a huge part of our lives and, in many ways, this is beneficial. Online platforms allow us to stay in touch, share our passions and keep up-to-date with friends. However, whilst we’re making the most of these platforms, it’s important to be aware of the attached risks and to employ caution to ensure we’re as safe as possible.
There are some helpful rules and pieces of advice in this booklet, including some that you might not be aware of. For instance, did you know that the legal minimum age for WhatsApp users is 16? We would encourage you (both pupils and parents) to have a read through to get to grips with some of the lesser-known laws and tips for having a positive experience whilst using social media.
